Three words I would use to describe me: Patient, Innovative, Organized
“Mrs. Parent, Happy Valentine’s Day! You’re the one that made me know I’m smart. Love, Clarissa” My eyes swelled with tears when I read those words many years ago on a Valentine’s Day card from one of my fourth graders. I recently found that card while unpacking some old boxes and I’m so excited to get tutoring again! My family recently moved to the Richmond area and I have taken the past year off to help my family get settled in our new home. My passion for teaching has me eager to find some new learners to work with.
I have a strong interest in working with students with special needs. I enjoyed years of collaborating with special education teachers to differentiate my teaching strategies and curriculum to make the general classroom accessible to all learners.
